Rotate PDF
Rotate all pages of a PDF by 90°, 180°, or 270°.
Why use this tool
01Select one PDF, rotate all pages or specific page ranges by 90°, 180°, or 270°, and download the result locally without uploading the document.
This PDF workflow is designed for common document cleanup and handoff tasks where uploading files would add privacy risk or delay.
Processing runs in the current browser tab, so the practical limit is your device memory and browser support rather than a server quota.
How to use
02Quick checks before you copy
03Confirm the input is the format you intended.
Scan the result before using it in a document, URL, config, or message.
Copy only the output you need.
Use Cases
Correct pages that were scanned sideways or upside-down without rescanning the physical document.
Rotate landscape pages in an otherwise portrait document to maintain a consistent reading orientation.
Rotate pages to match the paper orientation your printer expects before sending a batch print job.
PDFs created from photos taken on a phone often have incorrect orientation. Rotate to correct them.
Tips & Tricks
- 01Rotate individual pages selectively
You don't have to rotate all pages at once. Select specific pages to rotate while leaving others in their original orientation.
- 0290° clockwise fixes most scanned pages
If a page appears rotated 90° counterclockwise (text running upward), a single 90° clockwise rotation corrects it.
- 03Open the downloaded file before re-distributing
There's no in-tool preview — the rotated PDF is generated and downloaded directly. Open the downloaded file once in your PDF viewer to confirm every page landed in the orientation you expected before sending it onward.
FAQ
04Is my PDF uploaded to a server when I rotate pages?
No. Rotation happens entirely in your browser. Files never leave your device.
Can I rotate only specific pages?
Yes. Select individual pages or page ranges to rotate, leaving the rest unchanged.
Does rotating a PDF reduce quality?
No. Rotation is a lossless geometric transformation. Images and text are not re-encoded.
Can I rotate by angles other than 90°?
The tool supports 90°, 180°, and 270° rotations. Arbitrary angle rotation is not supported.
Will the rotated PDF open in all PDF readers?
Yes. The output is a standard PDF compatible with all common readers.
Can I rotate a PDF with owner restrictions?
If the file opens but has owner restrictions, use PDF Password to remove print, copy, or edit restriction flags before rotating. PDF Password does not remove an open password required to view encrypted PDFs.
