Browser-basedWhat this tool does

Select one PDF, rotate all pages or specific page ranges by 90°, 180°, or 270°, and download the result. Tool code processes selected files and entered content in your browser and does not submit them to a TOOLGRID processing endpoint.

Processing runs in the current browser tab, so the practical limit is your device memory and browser support rather than a server quota.

Representative tasks

What you can do with this tool

Fix Scanned Documents

Correct pages that were scanned sideways or upside-down without rescanning the physical document.

Standardize Mixed Orientations

Rotate landscape pages in an otherwise portrait document to maintain a consistent reading orientation.

Prepare for Printing

Rotate pages to match the paper orientation your printer expects before sending a batch print job.

Boundaries

What to check before relying on the result

  • Performance and maximum practical input size depend on browser memory, device speed, and the structure of the input.
  • Review the generated result before replacing or publishing an original file.

Use Cases

Fix Mobile Photo PDFs

PDFs created from photos taken on a phone often have incorrect orientation. Rotate to correct them.

Tips & Tricks
Rotate individual pages selectively

You don't have to rotate all pages at once. Select specific pages to rotate while leaving others in their original orientation.

90° clockwise fixes most scanned pages

If a page appears rotated 90° counterclockwise (text running upward), a single 90° clockwise rotation corrects it.

Open the downloaded file before re-distributing

There's no in-tool preview — the rotated PDF is generated and downloaded directly. Open the downloaded file once in your PDF viewer to confirm every page landed in the orientation you expected before sending it onward.

FAQ

Is my PDF uploaded to a server when I rotate pages?

Rotation happens in your browser. Tool code processes selected files and entered content in your browser and does not submit them to a TOOLGRID processing endpoint.

Can I rotate only specific pages?

Yes. Select individual pages or page ranges to rotate, leaving the rest unchanged.

Does rotating a PDF reduce quality?

Page images and text are not intentionally rasterized during rotation, but the result is a newly serialized PDF. Document-level structures such as metadata, outlines, forms, signatures, or annotations may change, so verify the downloaded file.

Can I rotate by angles other than 90°?

The tool supports 90°, 180°, and 270° rotations. Arbitrary angle rotation is not supported.

How should I check PDF reader compatibility?

The output is a standard PDF, but compatibility is not guaranteed for every reader or malformed source. Test it in the reader used by your audience.

Can I rotate a PDF with owner restrictions?

Encrypted PDFs and permission-restricted PDFs are not supported by the current browser engine. Use a trusted desktop PDF tool to create an unencrypted copy before rotating.
