Add PDF Watermark
Stamp a text watermark on every page of a PDF.
Why use this tool
01Select one PDF, enter a text watermark with color, position, opacity, and font size controls, then download the marked file locally.
This PDF workflow is designed for common document cleanup and handoff tasks where uploading files would add privacy risk or delay.
Processing runs in the current browser tab, so the practical limit is your device memory and browser support rather than a server quota.
How to use
02Quick checks before you copy
03Confirm the input is the format you intended.
Scan the result before using it in a document, URL, config, or message.
Copy only the output you need.
Use Cases
Add a CONFIDENTIAL or DRAFT watermark to documents before sharing for review to prevent premature use.
Add a company name, client label, or review status text watermark to reports and proposals before sending them onward.
Watermark portfolio samples or preview documents to discourage unauthorized use.
Stamp ARCHIVE or SUPERSEDED on older document versions to prevent confusion with current versions.
Tips & Tricks
- 01Diagonal text watermarks are harder to remove
Diagonal watermarks (45°) overlap more content and are more resistant to simple cropping or removal attempts.
- 02Use low opacity for readability
A 20–35% opacity watermark is visible without obscuring the document content underneath.
FAQ
04Can the watermark be removed by recipients?
Text watermarks added by this tool are embedded in the PDF content stream, making them difficult but not impossible to remove with specialized tools.
Are my files processed locally?
Yes. All watermarking happens in your browser. Files are never uploaded.
Can I watermark every page?
Yes. The watermark is applied to all pages by default.
What font does the watermark use?
Helvetica (the standard built-in PDF font). No font picker is available in this tool — for custom typography in a watermark, render the watermark text as an image first and stamp it via desktop PDF software.
